Success comes to those who have patience. I won’t tell you how easy it is to achieve success and that you will make six figures in a month because all that is a lie a lot of us like to hear and we sign up for all kinds of webinars, websites, subscriptions, etc. My role here is not to make you successful or sell you an idea. I’m simply sharing tips and tricks that helped me personally get to where I am, in a better place.
Have a goal in life – it’s easier when you know what you want to do or who you want to become. Your mind starts planning for it and all the stars align together to guide you to reach your goal. Our brain is capable of bringing the extraordinary in our life if we keep on a positive attitude and we learn to stimulate the brain cells to work in our favor.
Make a commitment to yourself – we are all lazy. The difference among all of us is that some take “commitment” more seriously than the others. Set an alarm to wake up early in the morning and get up even if you don’t want to. Be your own worst boss. Work on yourself. Bill Gates wouldn’t be Bill Gates today if he was not committed, and this is just an example.
Surround yourself with successful people – I will share a story. When I was a teenager, my dad picked me up from a day club where I went with friends and he wasn’t very happy with the environment and people I was surrounded by, so he told me: “Surround yourself with people that share the same goals and passions like you do. Go to places you dream of and meet others like you. In other words, if you want to be a journalist, surround yourself with journalists, but don’t forget where you are coming from.”
Develop a mental toughness – not everyone is your friend. Understand, and accept it. Once you know where you’re headed, suddenly you make new friends that try to take advantage and older friends will fade away like they were never there. You will face many obstacles but remain confident in your abilities to succeed and do not give up. Cut out the negative self-talk and find support if you need it, but keep on going, darling.
Make a habit of winning – do whatever it takes to win and live by your life boundaries. Dedication takes you to success faster than the power of lighting. Push yourself and see how far you can truly go.
